What does a 15-minute consultation get you? This free meeting will be a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to learn more about how I can help you in your postsecondary transition planning. I am excited to learn more about your interests, passions, goals, and you as a person. How do you envision your future? Career, educational or vocational goals, personal qualities that you want to enhance, and more.

What is involved in this six-week transition plan? Each week we will meet to go step-by-step through the transition process based on your specific needs. For collegebound students, this will include setting realistic educational goals, discussing what a goodfit school would look like, support in postsecondary education, and the accommodations process. We will also discuss the admissions process, including admissions inverviews and essays. The focus here is building confidence and marketing yourself to prospective institutions. Your input will assist in my research, and you will recieve a detailed report at the end of our sessions with best fit colleges along with support information tailored to your needs.

ABOUT ME

I went without support for ADHD until I was in high school. I always felt that something wasn't "right" but was left unsure as to what. However, I went to college to pursue a degree in special education. I was able to excel once

  • I found my stride -- challenging and meaningful course work, supportive social relationships, and an excellent academic support program at the college.

  • It was also at that time that I was learning more about myself and how ADHD impacted various facets of my life; I was putting a name to behaviors and seeing how small changes to my executive functioning (e.g., planning, organizing) were positively impacting my overall success as a student and person.

I have since earned two graduate degrees, and until 2022, I was the Director of the same support program that helped me as an undergraduate student.

  • Even when I was unsure if I was going to college, I knew I wanted to help people; it's what brings me purpose and gives me a sense of fulfillment.

I believe strongly in assisting others to find their own talents, passions, and talents to self-identify a realistic post-secondary path.

As a person with ADHD, I cannot profess to know another person's experiences. Still, I think I have good insights into how these experiences may have impacted their development.

  • My focus is on creating and maintaining partnerships with a purpose. When you work with me, you should expect nonjudgmental collaboration with transparency and consistency.

SATISFACTION PERSONIFED

Achievement is often a marker of success but is just as often underdefined. A well-constructed plan must be carefully considered as much as it allows for flexibility! With my combined experience and educational background, I am confident that I will add an indelible impact on your future post-secondary journey.
